Writting articles and submitting them might have worked for while but if you think it's going to keep working think again. Search engines have become much better at detecting and dealing with dupicate content and that is what article distribution is. Don't do it. Write your article, make it good quality and leave it on your site then submit it to digg & reddit, maybe Nescape - this way you have the quality content on your site crawled instantly and your site gets the credit and backlink. If you fall for the multiple submission trap your article gets replicated and scraped and turns supplimental and pretty much becomes worthless in terms of SEO.
