about my front yard?!!?? My house was built in 1913..it has a big porch and big brick pillars on both side..the lawn is nice and I have a porch swing that I have put flowers and vines on it(I bought at a craft store) so it looks nice..but thats about it. Id like to buy some big flower pot and put something in there. I also have dwarf bushes along the side of the porch. Any suggestions on making it look nicer.

You could put a couple of rows of bedding flowers for a punch of color in front of the dwarf bushes. A large container on either side of the front door is always welcoming. I also love the look of decorative large mailboxes on older homes they add so much character. I have several large hanging baskets attached to the pillar of my own front porch and a little fountain which sounds just wonderful when I open the front door and hear it through the screen door. Might be a relaxing sound for you while lounging on your porch swing.
