im looking for internet sites for home improvement stores in america as im moving there soon from the uk and it would be good to see whats what.
i forgot to add that im after stores that sell stuff for the home like beds and stuff just everything for every room

As others have said, Home Depot, Lowes and J C Penny are three good stores. Some other things you will probably find - these stores carry stock - you won't have to wait 6 weeks for your order to be half delivered and half forgotten, the shop assistants seem to know something about the goods they sell - they are not dummies like at Focus and B & Q, they are often 5 times the size of British shops and their prices are about one half of British prices or less.
