Vacation House Plans

Cabin and log houses are examples of Vacation house plans. Usually small in size vacation house plans rest on tradition design detailing. So it should not come as a surprise to see a deck at the back of the house just as they were constructed years ago. Vacation house plans are designed with huge windows through the house and have two floor levels.

Duplex House Plans
A duplex house plan is ideal for a large family or a family that wants to remain under the same roof. It is a multi-house type of home with separate units. These units can either be built one on top of the other or they can stand side by side. Duplexes are found in well-populated and high traffic areas, mostly in the city.

Spanish House Plans


Spanish House plans are designed with impressions of Mediterranean countries in mind. Hints of Spain, France and Italy are evident in these types of house plans. The low stucco tiled roof plays a big part in Spanish house plans and so too are columns and courtyard at the exterior. Dramatic arches also occupy the entranceway a generous use of window space can let you see all that is happening outside.
The interior is very spacious with an open layout.

Unique House Plans

Unique house plans are those, which incorporate several design, styles to come up with something that is unique. Suited for each homeowner’s individual taste and style, it can have a sprawling and eye-catching front deck, an asymmetrical roofline or anything that would make it stands apart from others in design.

Pool House Plans

Pool houses plans are designed for added convenience for the times that a homeowner will spend at the pool with family and friends. These house plans usually include bathrooms, changing rooms and even showers.
For those who can financially afford it, some pool houses are equipped with kitchens and bars.
The pool house provides great shelter after hours swimming around in the pool.
The exterior of pool houses is usually a replica of the main house’s design and architecture.

Pole House Plans


Pole House plans are used in houses that are built to resist natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, hurricanes and typhoons to name a few.
Pole houses are usually constructed on sloping land.
To construct a pole house, a durable pole is selected and then placed into the ground with the use of concrete to hold it in place.
These poles stand upright as beams are added across its top and at angles to suit the homeowner.
Materials such as light timber and sheet paneling are used to create the walls in a pole house.

Split-level house plans

Split-level house plans are another plan that works for a fairly large family. As its name suggests, there are two floors to a split-level house. The blueprint of a split-level house usually takes on a ranch type design with the living portion of the house on the lower level and the bedrooms occupying the top floor. Sometimes the plan includes three levels. These types of homes can be found in the suburban areas and features a garage and a back sliding door, which opens out into the patio. Other design signatures of a split-level house include large windows, stairs on the inside of the house to the other upper levels and woodsy-like exterior.

Florida House Plans

Florida is a predominantly warm climate city. And as a result their house plans are designed to keep the heat out of the house. Bearing a close resemblance to Spanish homes, Florida houses also use stucco in its designs. The roof is always sloped with metal that is covered with terracotta. These one-story homes always have inviting verandas, a few patios and windows that let the breeze come in.

Tudor House Plans

Tudor house plans are as elaborate as they come. Tudor homes are the mixture of old and new cottage home designs. More suited for country living, Tudor style homes are known for high chimneys and its brick and stucco exterior with large casement windows galore.
On the inside of the house, ceilings are high and the living spaces are spacious. Tudor homes are built with two and more levels.


Feng Shui House Plans

To create a feng shui house plan, one must ensure that all floor and room layouts and where they are placed are in alignment with feng shui design rules.
Feng Shui homes can be any design style that the homeowner desires. The color of the house as well as the materials used to build it must also go along with feng shui principles.

European House plans

European houses are resemble cottages of Tudor homes. But there is really no set style for these types of homes. European houses are normally at 2 levels and feature stone or brick exterior as well as the use of stucco. The roofs are slopped and some of these homes are equipped with basements.

French House Plans

French house plans are designed with the elites in mind. Luxurious and well detailed both inside and out, they boast of having brick facade, bay windows and arches, which enhance the windows and doors.
High roofs dominate and decorative shutters and columns can also be found in this blueprint. Wood, iron and copper are the materials often used when constructing French home.

Boat House Plans

The purpose of a boat house plan is to accommodate a boat and its equipment. Primarily sailing crews and fishermen use boathouses. Since its location is on a dock, it utilizes a pier and beam foundation. Inside of a boathouse one can find a kitchen and living quarters and even a gym. Boathouses are usually two levels.

Budget House Plans

Not every family would be able to afford the house of their dreams. That’s where budget house plans come in. They are designed to put ease on your pockets without sacrificing comfort of the home. Also known as affordable house plans they are constructed with the use of the post and beam method. There are no fancy trimmings to a budget house rather it is modest and most importantly fit for living in.

Georgian House plans

Georgian house plans are very similar to that of colonial house plans. They are built in the fashion of houses from yesteryear and attention is paid on detailing with a touch of history. With a Georgian house plan, the front entrance is always the main attraction and so too are the windows and brick rooftop. Rooms are also tastefully arranged on the inside of the home, which usually stands at 2 story high.

European House Plans

European house plans are elegantly designed to suit the homeowner’s taste. It also combines beauty and a rich history and is very close in design to other house plans like French Country House plans and Tudor House plans. European houses are either 1 floor or 1 1/2 stories. Materials such as brick, stone and stucco are used to further enhance the house’s exterior. European houses are best built on large lots where their well-detailed facade can be seen.

Dutch Home Plans

Simplicity is the name of the game for a Dutch house plan. Built in a colonial style Dutch house plans has a modest exterior.
Once inside through a centralized door, which often leads to hallways, is a lavish interior that is usually 1 1/2 stories above ground level.
The use of dormers is widely used in order to provide ample lighting into the home.
The trademarks of a Dutch colonial house plan include stone construction usually with brick, central door entryways and side-gabled gambrel roof.
