Default Timeshare resell fraud

I've recently grown tired of a timeshare property I own in Colorado, but I'm finding it difficult to unload on my own and I'm considering turning to the resale market. However, I also know this market is brimming with fraud. I worked as a research assistant in a real estate company for a while and was constantly coming across news articles exposing the slimeballs in this industry. To those with experience in the market: what should I avoid to evade getting screwed? Obviously I should read any contracts with a bloody fine-tooth comb.

Trying searching for "timeshare scam" on the internet and see how many millions of results come up.

There's a lot of articles that outline classic scams, etc, if you go looking for them. This is a good link, a top ten: 10 Secrets Time Share Resorts Won't Tell You

Found it on this website, which has been showing up a lot in my google results (I thought about becoming a timeshare agent for awhile but decided against it in the end): Timeshare Consumer Group
