afriad to ask my parents?? i ALWAYS get asked to do things with my friends and i will usually ask my parents but they make so much of a hassle of it i sometimes end up not even asking them, it's usually only if a guy asks me to hang out, even if its harmless hanging out, but they'll want to like talk to his parents and everything else!?!?!??!

i do usually ask them though but they're are other times i just dont and im stuck on the couch watching amovie or something on a friday night which sucks balls!
im 15/ and yes my parents let me date and everything... i went to a dance with a guy who is almost 18 and they liked him!
but an example of my dilemma is the guy i went to this dance with later asked me to prom, and i said no i couldnt because i didnt want to ask my parents if i could go!?

Talk to your parents. Remind them that you're growing up. Plus you're in high school.. you need to live it up. You can only go to prom so many times in your life. Talk to them and try to get some type of agreement between you guys.

Since when are freshmans going to proms? When I was in high school, only Jrs. and Srs. were allowed to go. Are you afraid your parents would not allow you to go with the Jr. to the prom?

Don't let others tell you what to do (except for your parents)
