Default Land For 1 dollar - Australia

In order to save some of the smaller townships in Australia some local councils are releasing land for the price of just one dollar - There are however some conditions that need to be met, you are required to build on the land and be prepared to live in the town and contribute to the local community. For young people trying to break into the housing market this might be the ticket to entry. Life in the outback can be clean living and good for the health if your interested in a "sea change" that takes you to the bush.

The only problem here is that I do not live in Australia.
I live in the United States and we don't have these $1 sales...
