| WATERFRONT PROPERTY SOUTH CAROLINA JUST REDUCED!! My dream for this property was to build a 2 story home and rent out both floors as vacation, investment property. Due to my financial circumstances, I am unable to do this now. Because I am a traveling nurse, I wanted to have a home base for a month or two during the year, rent out our resident floor while we were gone, and the other floor on a weekly basis to the tourist, who flock here year round. In addition to the tourist, we have military bases here, Paris Island, Marine Corps Air Station and Beaufort Naval Base. Every Friday, recruits graduate from basic training (Boot Camp) and their families come here for that event. Typically, large family members pull their money together, and rent beach, waterfront homes for their stay here! I did my due diligence on searching the internet for vacation rentals in our area. On avereage, the rentals go for at least $1,500 a week and up to $2,500 a week. Judging by what I have found, we would have both rentals, for both floors, monthly! Do the math! Your talking anywhere from $12,000 - $20,000 a month income! The mortgage payment would easily be made monthly, just from renting out one of the floors, with cash left over, while the other floor being rented, that income, is the "icing on the cake!" Then you have folks who travel the world and just want to rent a dock / boat slip. They are also called dockominiums. Another source of income! |
